How Vibration Therapy Works

By standing, sitting or placing the body part to be treated on a vibrating plate you will receive vibration forces from three planes, forwards and backwards, up and down and side to side at a typical frequency of vibration of 30 - 50 times per second

This vibration causes the muscle to go through a stretch reflex contraction 30 -60 times a second. In order to cope with this rapid change in the surface environment your body must make adaptations

With each vibration the body is forced to perform reflexive muscle actions, multiple times per second and to do this it recruits more muscle fibres.

Additional Effect

An increase in blood flow and oxygen delivery to the site and increase in waste removal away from the site causes:

The body's stabilisation mechanisms are challenged to maintain balance and will therefore improve

Due to the up down vibration of the plate you are gaining that weight bearing affect thereby improving and maintaining healthy bone density

And the Best Bit....

This is all achieved while putting minimum stress on the joints, tendons and ligaments

Normal land based exercise is intensified with the addition of the vibration so less is more! 10 to 12 minutes is all the time required per training session. This is the equivalent of one to two hours of intensive power training
